How customer information is handled.
A plain-language explanation of how JL Aircon uses and protects customer information.
Clear information for the live service.
JL Aircon collects only the information needed to answer enquiries, prepare and manage quotes, plan installations, provide aftercare and meet legal or accounting duties. The public contact form stores the name, email address, optional phone number, optional postcode and message that you choose to send.
Information collected
The quote journey can keep room and property answers, postcode, selected product, price and deposit preference in your browser for up to 30 days so you can resume. That draft does not contain a name, email address, phone number or password. A submitted enquiry is stored securely for owner follow-up.
How information is used
Information is used for enquiries, quoting, installation planning, aftercare, account security, fraud prevention and legal record keeping. The lawful basis is normally taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal duty, or JL Aircon’s legitimate interest in answering and managing an enquiry.
Retention and security
Enquiries are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last useful contact, unless a quote, contract, warranty, dispute or legal duty requires a longer period. Customer and installation records may be retained for the period needed for warranty, tax and legal obligations. Quote-funnel events are removed after 30 days. Cryptographic abuse-prevention identifiers are kept for no more than 24 hours.
Interactive coverage map
When the coverage map approaches the screen, the browser requests map tiles from the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Its service receives normal technical request data, including the IP address, browser details, referring site and requested tiles, under the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy. JL Aircon does not send enquiry details or quote answers with those requests, and every service-area page remains available without using the interactive map.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, restriction or deletion where the law permits, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. No customer data is sold. Use the contact form to make a privacy request. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
